Mike Zimmerman, Senior Partner
Mike is a senior partner at David and Zimmerman. After graduating from Cal Poly School of Agriculture in 1975 and Western State University School of Law 1978, Mike joined his father in-law, Andrew David (1922-2008) as a partner at the family law firm in Arroyo Grande.
Mike has more than 30 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, business law and Medi-Cal planning. He has personally handled more than 5,500 cases, with 100 percent perfect record for Medi-Cal applications.
He is a member of the California Bar Association as well as the local San Luis Obispo County Bar Association. In his more than 30 years of law practice, he has served on the board of directors of the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association and been a senior lecturer for the association’s continued education training seminars. He has taught on Medi-Cal planning, estate planning, and business law.
Mike is a pillar in the South County Community. He has established his reputation based on honesty, ethical business practices and conservative morals. As a long-time rancher and business owner, Mike Zimmerman strongly connects with South County residents.
He is a dedicated family man. He has been married to his wife Joan for 36 years and together they have eight children and three grandchildren. He is a past volunteer fire fighter, having served in the Arroyo Grande Fire Department for many years. Mike has also served on many boards, including Camp Fire Girls, San Luis Obispo County Bar Association, Central Rehabilitation Clinic, the Bioethics Committee for Arroyo Grande Community Hospital and Church Boards. Mike is very passionate about his faith; he is a long time church leader and currently attends the City Church in Nipomo.
